Steve Gibson on Security Now
This last Security Now episode surprised me. I am a faithful Security Now listener and have felt Steve would never lead me a-stray. But on this last episode, his rant on Vista at the beginning was shocking.
It is
obvious to me that Steve has a hardware or driver issue. As I am running
with full Aero effects on my Macbook that has only 64mgs of Intel Integrated
Graphics and I have no such issue. In
fact, everything is very snappy and
rates my graphics as a 3.1 vs. Steves’s 2.0 with a nVidia 512 mg card. I would say that card is either not
yet supported or recognized by Vista or he did not get the latest drivers from nVidia.
Steve, I am no tech expert like you, but even I would know Microsoft would not release a OS that could not run as you stated. Please do a little more troubleshooting and stop being so extreme. - My 2 cents.
