New Toy Added to the Collection

I just added a new toy to my gadget collection.  This time it is a universal remote so that I am able to control my HDTV, HD Directv box, Directv Tivo, DVD player, GameCube, and Yamaha Receiver.  I purchased the Logitech 8800 and programmed it via my Mac Mini since it is hooked up to the HDTV.

It has a nice cradle with a blue LED that keeps in charged.  No more swapping out dead batteries.  I think this one is a keeper.  It is easy to use, even my wife can just select the button next to "Watch Tivo" and everything is done for her.  I just select the button next to "My Mac Mini" and I am on the computer.  It is so simple to program - all online, and update the remote via the usb cable.

I had tried one other universal, Sony, but could after months of going through batteries (I did use AA rechargeables) I got sick and tired of the not being able to easily read the screen and my wife could not figure out how to use it since she only touches it every now and then.

I think this one will be a keeper unlike the Sony.
